Alexandra Beatty
Alexandra has been with Compass since 2015, bringing her multitude of experience in environmental education and youth development. Born in Concord, Massachusetts- home of Walden Pond and right outside Boston, Alexandra is continually inspired by her hometown. Concord has indeed instilled her a love of wild nature and diverse communities. Life as a military kid had her family moved around a lot, eventually settling in rural PA. As soon ash she could, Alexandra headed to New York City to study Environmental Studies, Philosophy and Sociology. Turns out, she was craving culture, not concrete. Summer breaks allowed Alexandra to work in the woods and serve as a camp counselor. This experience has allowed Alexandra to live all over the country, from New Jersey to Wisconsin, and work towards making the outdoors accessible for everyone by developing inclusive programs for diverse groups.
After moving to Cleveland in 2012, Alexandra received her BA in Nonprofit Management from Cleveland State University. She’s thrilled to be on the Compass Team to keep learning and doing this important work.
