Adriennie Y. Hatten, Ph.D.
Dr. Hatten is a Strategic Nonprofit Leader with diversified experience working across Northeastern Ohio for over 25- years in social services, education and government with expertise in performance management. She is a Management Consultant and an Educator. She has proven success in the following areas: strategic and operational planning, building collaboration, project management, grant writing, grants management, board development, and effective supervision. She has experience in philanthropy and managing large initiatives. Dr. Hatten has taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels at Cleveland State University and John Carroll University in Nonprofit Administration and Urban Studies. She has expertise in delivering instruction in distance learning, online, and traditional classroom settings.
Dr. Hatten is a native of Northeastern Ohio and a proud graduate of Shaw High School in East Cleveland, Ohio. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, her Masters in Nonprofit Organizations from Case Western Reserve University and her Doctorate Degree in Urban Education from Cleveland State University. Dr. Hatten joined Compass Consulting in 2019. Dr. Hatten has partnered with organizations that include: The Council of Neighborhood Leaders, The Spanish American Committee, The United Black Fund, The Urban League of Greater Cleveland, MyCom, the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland, Cleveland Metropolitan School District, Peacemakers Alliance, and The Council for Economic Opportunities in Greater Cleveland. She currently serves as President of the Mandel Alumni Board, the Case Western Reserve Mandel School Alumni Board, Treasurer of School Boards of Old Brook and Regent Schools and is a member of the newly formed Nordonia Schools Diversity Council. Dr. Hatten lives in Macedonia with her son and her niece and nephew.
